BookShelf
Welcome to the Team OC bookshelf. One of the talents with which I've been blessed is the ability to "narrate". I've put this to use with various book projects over the
years, and in doing so have been fascinated by books of all kinds.
So I digress from the routine here with a listing of some books that have caught my eye -- either having read them personally, or am planning to. (Unfortunately, these
were NOT my "book narration" clients - just wishful thinking!) The pricing arrangement with Amazon.com is quite favorable. And, I'm always looking for specials, so check
back.
Click on any of the book covers below to review or order. The Amazon site is very safe and secure, so enjoy your trip to the "stacks"! And be sure to come back for other
suggestions.

Robert Caro's Master of the Senate: The Years of Lyndon Johnson is the third part of his four-part bio of perhaps the most effective leader in the Senate's
history. Remarkable insight into the Senate years of the man many of us in my part of the country had a chance to know.

Jan Hutson is one of two authors on this page I've had the pleasure of working with, first hand. After two-plus decades in the radio business, Jan turned to what she really
wanted to do all along -- write great novels. Tortuga is just that. Mystery, intrigue, love, betrayal - It's got it all. Click on the book and read the review.

John Cassidy, a financial staff writer at The New Yorker magazine has 'nailed-it' with "Dot-Con": The Greatest Story Ever Sold. That's right ... he says
dot-CON. Cassidy takes the greedy story way back -- PRE Microsoft, Netscape, and Yahoo. It's quite a read.

I first met Gene Elston in the early 80's, AFTER he'd already become a legendary broadcaster for the Houston Astros. In following years, I worked directly with Gene, producing
the CBS Game of the Week. What a pro. A Stitch in Time: A Baseball Chronology is a GREAT baseball book, with Gene's unmistakable style. Batter UP!

I can't hit a bookstore without checking out some Irish humor. The Big Little Book of Irish Wit & Wisdom is a collection of tradition, heritage, and "whimsy"
for all Irish, and Irish wanna-be's. Riddles, proverbs and toasts overflow from this volume -- the ultimate collection from the Emerald Isle.

And, from the magazine rack, Biography has to be an all-time favorite. It's the type of publication you can't throw out. This link provides a pretty good
discount on a classy magazine, and others of the same ilk. Actually, I don't consider this a "magazine" -- it's a valuable piece of reference.
