Let's Bury The WMD (non) "Issue"!

My ultra hard-core righter-than-right conservative friends will gag and choke when they read this ... but, please take note. This will be short, and to the point.

ENOUGH ALREADY! Enough, that is, to the festering and continuing debate over so-called 'Weapons of Mass Destruction' in Iraq. That's right. This relatively moderate "Yeller-Dawg" Democrat is saying, "Let's give it a rest."

Basta ... Fini ... Sayonara ... Outta' here!

I reached this conclusion based on comments made over the weekend by Dr. David Kay, who resigned last Friday as the chief American arms and weapons inspector in Iraq.

Kay was asked, in effect, "...shouldn't President Bush apologize for using 'WMD' as bogus reasoning to hastily enter into a war?" Kay responded, "No," and said, indeed, that the intelligence community should be the ones apologizing to President Bush. I totally agree.

Whether or not the intelligence gurus were bogus, or just plain stupid, (or, a whole lotta' both), doesn't matter now. We're in this thing, like it or not. And whether there was "unfinished biddness" in Iraq from 1991 doesn't matter, either.

Let's declare the WMD chapter "over". It's just not an issue anymore. There are much more important future chapters of this little endeavor to discuss ... and resolve.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK, EVERYONE !
THE PAST ... IS THE GREATEST TEACHER WE HAVE.
