Bill O'Connell is a media and marketing professional, with expertise in the
areas of media relations, communications, marketing, and public relations for small and medium sized business entities. His knowledge and experience is highly valued by former clients and current associates. Utilizing his broad professional background in broadcast network management and small business ownership and operations, O'Connell brings a wealth of experience to the table.
His experiences range from a formal education in computer programming and database management to professional positions as broadcast journalist and manager, broadcast network producer, including 25 years as a small business owner specializing in "all things communicated".
As a business owner since 1977, O'Connell has "run the table" from news and sports
broadcast management and production at the national level, to market research and public opinion information analysis in the retail, governmental, and political arenas. In
his professional career, O'Connell has served in various executive positions, including broadcast journalism and management.
In the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, O'Connell was forced to curtail travel to assignment venues, due to increased length and cost of travel ... and has settled in his community of 40+ years, Austin, Texas, as a communications professional.

Accounts of record include the nation's largest provider of computer operating systems - a response team dealing with immediate and lingering security threats to the daily operations of personal computers; the nation's second leading provider of personal communications hardware and software including cell phones and personal data devices; and other accounts which, due to their proprietary nature, shall remain unnamed.

While operations of this 25-year old self-started entity have been significantly curtailed in the past several years, it remains an operational sole-proprietorship with emphasis on small consultive endeavors.
Founded as "Market Research of Austin" in 1977. The company, now known as The O'Connell Company and "Team OC", performs media and communications consulting in the areas of marketing and public relations for general purpose, service, retail, broadcast, governmental,
sports and public policy clients.
Activities include assisting small and medium sized businesses to develop effective media communications, along with a production arm which primarily deals with writing, voice talent, and other production matters.
As a "labor of love", O'Connell also owns and maintains various internet sites, one of which is "GoHorns.com" - an extremely popular and highly viewed site devoted to University of Texas Longhorn sports teams.
